TMNT Christmas Haul: 2017 Edition

The holidays might be long over, but that doesn’t mean I have to stop writing about them! Christmas is a time for family, food, and of course, presents. For me, this holiday doesn’t go by without some TMNT gifts. This year is no different, so now, I’ll share my a few of my TMNT gifts from Christmas 2017!

1. Leatherhead Funko Pop!

My first TMNT Christmas gift this year was a Pop! figure of Leatherhead. First of all, I must say for a Pop, this figure is super detailed! It is based on the 1987 cartoon design, with lobsters and bear traps on his belt, a brown vest and a giant red hat. His crocodile design translates very well into a Pop, and I love his face sculpt and tail especially. An awesome gift for sure!

2. Dragon Chopper

The next TMNT gift I received was the Dragon Chopper vehicle. I am a big fan of villain vehicles, as they are normally much cooler than the other vehicles, in my opinion. However, they make vehicles for villains very infrequently, so I try to grab them whenever they come out. As one of two villain vehicles in the 2012 TMNT toyline (the Hover Drone being the other), this one eluded me for a while. Thankfully though, I got to add it to my collection this holiday season. As the name suggests, it is a dragon-themed motorcycle, featuring a rad black and red paint-job and a banner attached to the back of the seat. The Dragon Chopper has an action feature included too, where the included Foot Soldier does a flip over the front of the bike. Speaking of the included figure, the Dragon Chopper comes with a red and grey Foot Soldier, complete with a dragon-themed helmet! And, to add on to it all, my Dragon Chopper came in Japanese packaging! This is an awesome set, and I’m glad I got it this Christmas.

3. Revoltech TMNT

My 3rd gift (technically, set of gifts) is the Revoltech TMNT figures. These figures are… truly amazing. I got Raphael, Michelangelo, and Leonardo (I already had a Donatello), and I’ve had so much fun posing all the brothers together. The bandana turning to make the eyes white is genius, and they are incredibly articulated, while also being insanely accurate to the 2012 cartoon. The accessories are great too, like the unique bases, pizza, extra heads, and of course, each turtle’s signature weapon. If you don’t have these yet, please do yourself a favor and pick them up. You won’t regret it.

4. Stan Sakai Exclusive Usagi Yojimbo

Unlike the other gifts, which were given by friends and family, this one was something I got that came in time for the holiday season, so I’m including it here. My final item in my Christmas haul is the Stan Sakai Exclusive Usagi Yojimbo figure. This figure was a repaint of the Usagi figure that came out last year, and was exclusive to Stan Sakai’s website. Featuring a black and red paint-job, the figure also has katanas with green hilts and a bow. I got the signed edition, and surprisingly, I got number 8 out of 200! The figure came in this awesome box, with a very cool letter on the back. An awesome figure to add to my collection!
